Mani Mistry Elavia has rich experience of working with groups of varying age, class, academic background and gender. She has extensive experience of directly working with children and training caregivers for positive nurturing of children.
Thirty nine years of designing as well as conducting training, along with an academic background of psychology and professional social work are an added asset for her to understand and reach out to parents and childrem.
Mani Mistry Elavia did her graduation in Psychology honours and post graduation in Social Work.
She has led 3 NGOs in the capacity of Joint Director / Director. Two of those NGOs worked primarily with children. Besides direct work with children and trining, she has played an active role in advocacating for policy change in the interest of children and developed a bridge course for integrating tribal children in mainstream schools.
Some of the organisations where she has worked with or for children are College of Social Work, LAYA, Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action, Children of the World (India) Trust, Shree Barbhaya Orphanage for Hindu Girls and Bazm-E-Niswan.
