Have you experienced yourself yelling at your child sometimes and then regretting it later?
We all have experienced that feeling of regret. We yell,
when kids are not listening to what we say,
the house is messy,
had a hard day,etc..
And we loose control.Ultimately we become BLIND (parent, who is running high with negative
emotions) and meet the BLIND (child, who is desperately craving for your connection). We are here to lead our children into calm and if we are not calm, How can we expect calm
behaviour from our child.Do you know the root cause of why we yell?
Because we need a specific response. If we don’t get that, we React.
By yelling,we scare them, they are not able to think enough and learn.
Research has showed yelling is directly linked to–
• Low self esteem
• High rates of depression
• Increased aggression
• Insecurity.Children learn it’s alright to vent out frustration, when things don’t go according to them.
So take a PAUSE, focus on your breathe, Instead of reacting try to RESPOND.
