About Me — Dr. Nidhi (Meher)
Educator • Speaker • Author
I am Dr. Nidhi (Meher), an educator, speaker, author and creative entrepreneur with over two decades of experience across education, child development, creative learning and human development. My professional journey brings together educational expertise, counselling knowledge, creativity and a deep interest in understanding how children and individuals learn, express themselves, discover their strengths and grow.
My academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from the University of Delhi, an MS in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Institute of Psychotherapy and Management Sciences (IPMS), Mumbai, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Parental Guidance and Counselling from Annamalai University. Over the years, I have also undertaken certifications and professional training in areas related to child psychology, child development, family therapy, child diagnostics, DSM-IV-TR and play therapy, among other subjects.
I hold an Honorary Doctorate in Education and Creative Empowerment, recognising the intersection of education, creativity and empowerment that defines my professional journey.
An Educator with a Creative Perspective
With approximately 25 plus years of experience as a teacher and coordinator in leading schools in Delhi, I have worked across educational settings, engaging with children, parents and educators. My experience encompasses teaching, educational coordination, creative learning, student development, parent engagement, workshops and facilitation.
I believe that education is not limited to academic learning. It also involves nurturing curiosity, encouraging self-expression, developing confidence, strengthening communication and creating opportunities for individuals to explore their potential.
For me, creativity is much more than an art activity—it is a way of thinking, communicating, connecting and learning. This belief forms the common thread running through my professional initiatives.
Founder of Crafters Quest: Crafts N Beyond
My creative journey finds expression through Crafters Quest: Crafts N Beyond, an initiative centred on art and craft, theatre, storytelling, skill-building, personality development and experiential learning.
Through creative activities, workshops and learning experiences, I seek to encourage children and learners to explore ideas, develop skills, express themselves and build confidence. My engagement with theatre and creative facilitation further strengthens my belief in the role of experiential learning in personal and social development.
My work brings together the joy of making, the power of storytelling, the confidence developed through expression and the life skills nurtured through participation.
Author and Founder of Creative Parenting
I am the author of Creative Parenting: Craft Your Child’s Journey and the founder of Creative Parenting: Craft Your Child’s Journey, a dedicated initiative focused on parenting, parent-child relationships and creativity-led parenting.
Inspired by my professional experience as an educator and my personal journey as a mother, Creative Parenting explores how creativity can help parents understand their children, communicate meaningfully, recognise individual differences and nurture each child’s unique personality.
My approach brings together creativity, emotional awareness, reflection and connection. I encourage parents to see everyday moments as opportunities to understand their children, discover new ways of communicating and grow alongside them.
Through my writing, talks, workshops and developing educational resources, I seek to make creativity a practical part of family life and parenting.
Family: The Heart of My Journey
Beyond my professional roles, I am a wife and a mother of two boys, and my family remains an important part of my personal journey. Our family also includes Bella, my beloved companion, who brings her own special warmth and joy to our lives.
Motherhood has enriched my understanding of children in ways that extend beyond textbooks and professional experience. Watching my two children grow, each with their own personality, interests and ways of expressing themselves, has taught me the value of adapting, listening, observing and growing alongside them.
My family journey has been an important inspiration behind Creative Parenting: Craft Your Child’s Journey. Everyday experiences, creative explorations and the evolving relationship between parent and child have shaped my belief that parenting is a shared journey of discovery, understanding and growth.
For me, family is a space where creativity becomes a natural part of life—through stories, conversations, play and shared experiences. These moments continue to remind me that creativity can nurture connection, encourage self-expression and create meaningful memories.
My personal and professional journeys come together in one enduring belief: when we make space for creativity, understanding and connection, we create opportunities for the entire family to grow together.
Speaker, Trainer and Facilitator
I have contributed to talks, professional engagements, workshops and learning initiatives across educational, developmental and community-oriented settings. My speaking engagements include TTC (The Trainers’ Camp), the Deep Growth Conclave, and CSR programmes conducted for the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Air Force Welfare Women’s Association (AFWWA).
I have also worked as an ATOMY India Trainer and engaged with initiatives involving teacher development, parenting education, creative learning and personal development.
My professional interests include storytelling, theatre-based learning, communication, facilitation, educational programme coordination and the use of creative approaches to make learning engaging and meaningful.
Across these platforms, I bring an educator’s perspective, a storyteller’s sensibility and a belief in the ability of creativity to open new pathways for learning and growth.

The Common Thread: Creativity and Empowerment
Although my work spans education, parenting, art and craft, storytelling, theatre, training and speaking, one principle connects these different areas: creativity creates opportunities for people to understand, express, connect and grow.
Whether I am engaging with a child through a creative activity, helping parents explore new perspectives, facilitating a learning experience or speaking to an audience, I view creativity as a meaningful resource for individual development and human connection.
Through my work as an educator, speaker and author, I continue to bring education and creativity together to nurture curiosity, strengthen relationships and encourage people to discover their own possibilities.
My vision is to make creativity an integral part of how we learn, how we parent, how we communicate and how we empower ourselves and others.
